Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Highways Administrator to join Bradford Council on an initial 9 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supporting engineers with their administrative duties such as processing documentation, logging information on the internal database systems, and getting approvals on order forms.
- Assessing and inputting activities on the highway into various electronic ICT systems
- Processing section 278 and section 38 plans on behalf of engineers
- Monitoring and reviewing works applications on a regular basis
- Receiving, reviewing and processing temporary order applications relating to works/events on the highway
- Providing data support in the issuing of invoices for highway licences, highway permits, and other charges
- Preparing data reports as required
- Assessing and granting applications to work on or near the highway in close relation to the Engineers in the department
- Providing day to day technical administrative support
Requirements:
- Strong administration experience, ideally within a highways or technical department
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Able to work on own initiative
