The Service is responsible for managing and delivering Westmorland and Furness Council’s duties for Highways and Transport Services and all associated major projects and strategic infrastructure schemes to support delivery of the Council Plan.
As Highways Programme Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Council’s response to Highways consenting and the management of specific Highways Programmes, Contracts and / or Frameworks.
This exciting role will lead the Council’s engagement in significant infrastructure projects, providing Highways specialist technical advice to fulfil the Council’s statutory role as Highway Authority, with particular focus to our response to the A66 (NTP) schemes.
The Highways Programme Manager will provide senior leadership to our programme and project delivery arrangements, on behalf of the service. This includes leadership and management of high performing Consenting teams, leading our response to major Project delivery affecting the Highways Authority network and overseeing our future work Programmes and third part / contract engagement.
