As a Hire Controller you will be instrumental in the opening and running of our new Groundforce division, Non Mechanical Plant. Non Mechanical Plant will be a new division focusing on non-mechanical plant operating out of our existing Wigan depot footprint.Reporting into the General Manager and working alongside our sales and operations departments, our Hire Controller will provide outstanding customer service to our customers by understanding our customer needs and exceeding their expectations daily.Day to day, the post holder will be answering the telephone, handling email enquiries, and taking on-hires and off-hires from our clients from with the construction industry.On our specialised hire system, the Hire Controller will raise quotations and input orders, whilst collaborating with the rest of the operational team to arrange deliveries and collections whilst providing top tier customer service.Key Responsibilities Process all tasks to IT systems and paperwork relating to hires, off-hires, suspensions and breakdowns in accordance with customer requirements. Organise deliveries and collections of equipment from customer sites while carrying out courtesy calls to ensure the customer is updated with estimated times of arrival or any delays.Liaise with and support effectively, the operations team to ensure equipment is available for hire, equipment is despatched and returned correctly as well as notifying customers of equipment not returned at FOH, and raise subsequent invoices for loss charges.Maintain knowledge of the division’s equipment for hire.Foster an environment of good communication between both the Sales and Operations teams.Ensure a high level of service to the business by achieving the set service level agreements in place and always striving to resolve any issues urgently and professionally.Prioritise your workload so all duties are done to the highest standard.Ensure timely, accurate, and full completion of all Hire Controller activities, including raising any purchase orders, chasing any outstanding quotations, chargeable invoices, and outstanding equipment to guarantee all opportunities are converted to maximise profitable hires and sales.What We’re Looking For Experience in customer service with an excellent telephone mannerExcellent attention to detail Ability to work on own initiativeBasic numeracy and literacy skillsKnowledge hire rental asset management systems is advantageous Knowledge of the hire industry is advantageousWhat We Can Offer You 25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysCompany PensionLife Assurance cover40 hour working week Monday to Friday Save As You Earn SchemeCycle to work scheme Free on site parkingFree Tool HireTraining & Development OpportunitiesRegular Discounts (eg.
