Form of workWe’re recruiting on behalf of our customer based in LS12 who would like to recruit a Full Time Hire Controller for their busy depot in Leeds. This is a well renowned company who have received great feedback from previous workers there & they have an outstanding reputation for exceptional customer service backed by a huge fleet of excellent high quality equipment. This is a Temporary to Permanent opportunity which means that you would work for 13 weeks for Driver Hire and after this, if all goes well, you would become a permanent employee.
Benefits:
£13.00 per hour (based on PAYE Advanced – Holiday Pay Included) – while working for Driver Hire
£25,000 per year once permanent.

The Role:
- 40 Hours Per Week – Monday-Friday (07:30-16:30 with 1 hour lunch)
For this new and exciting role, we are looking for a positive, organised enthusiastic and ambitious Hire Controller, keen to join an already existing team and assist in helping a long-established business to continue to progress.
As a Hire Controller you’re at the heart of office operations and your day to day duties will include dealing with customer enquiries face to face, by email and on the phone. You’ll be using the in house IT system, organising delivery routes, communicating with our drivers and making sure they have the right paperwork. On top of this, there will be a variety of other office work as required. As this is a new role, once you mastered the core skills, there will be opportunities to develop and utilise other skills, for example, Social Media and Marketing.
Requirements:
- The ability to show initiative and to grasp new things quickly
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and adapting to a fast paced environment.
- Great customer service skills, face to face and on the phone.
- Very good administration skills.
- Good IT Skills with ideally some website experience and/or social media marketing experience.
- Some experience in sales and/or marketing.
- Educated to a high GCSE/A-Level Standard
- Must be available to work full-time hours
- Full Driving Licence and own transport.
