Hire Manager

You're an experienced Hire Manager, Senior Hire Controller or Depot Manager looking to develop a hiring team. Based at our growing Plant Hire HQ, you'll shape the department, implement KIP's and mentor the team to be the very best they can be. We're ambitious and growing very quickly so if you're looking to develop your team and your own career, this could be the opportunity you're searching for.     
 
BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Hire Desk Manager, Senior Hire Controller, Hire Manager - Construction Equipment, Plant Hire, Access Hire, Equipment Hire, Tool Hire.
 
As our Hire Desk Manager, you'll be joining one of the UK's fastest growing Equipment and Tool Hire companies. We're a high energy business so to keep pace with the constantly increasing volume of customers, you'll need to be at the top of your game. You'll be responsible for running a team of experienced Hire Controllers and Key Account Managers, ensuring daily operations are running smoothly.
 
This is your chance to make your mark as you'll:
 
· Create and Implement KPS's to keep everything on track.
· Manage customer enquiries to ensure they get the best possible service.
· Coordinating equipment so that everything is in the right place at the right time.
· Up skill the team to make sure everyone is providing outstanding customer service at all times.  
 
You'll also be involved in sourcing new technologies and developing better processes to make the whole hiring experience efficient.  
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Hire Desk Manager, Senior Hire Controller, Hire Manager - Construction Equipment, Plant Hire, Access Hire, Equipment Hire, Tool Hire.
 
Ideally, you will have managed a hire desk team before, such as:
 
· Plant, tool, powered access, lifting, crane.
· Welfare, generators, forklifts.
· HGV, agricultural equipment, attachments or equipment hire.
 
But, you might have managed Trade Desks / Hire Desks within Builders Merchants, Timber or Plumbing Merchants, etc.  
 
Whatever your background you'll be able to demonstrate:
 
· A proven track record of team leadership.
· The ability to take ownership of projects and tasks.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Organisational skills.
 
Above all you'll need to bring boundless energy, a desire to develop those around you and enjoy being in the thick of things.
