Job description

A highly organised Hire Plant Office Manager is required for our prestigious market leading and award winning, Sunday Times Fast track 100 client to deliver excellent customer service, quotations, sales order process and team management at their prestigious office based near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. In return there is an excellent salary of circa £40k+ dependent on level of experience and excellent benefits with this 12 month fixed maternity cover contract that can become permanent elsewhere in the team. This exciting Hire PlantOffice Manager role would suit a proactive professional with excellent communication skills and organisational experience of multiple teams and office management within the hire industries and / or good experience of quotations, sales order process within a busy multi team office. The purpose of this role is to manage the hire controller team ensuring quotation orders are fulfilled efficiently, on time and to customer specification. You will also provide support to the office's smaller teams, in total managing 15 people across all the teams. My client specialises in the hire of breakthrough construction plant equipment and innovative Hire Plant machinery so any experience of Hire Plant equipment or plant machinery would be of interest but training will be provided. You must have good quotations, sales order process and multiple team small team management experience.

The ideal Hire PlantOffice Manager will have the following, experience, attributes and skills;

  • Good office management /small team management experience in a similar role- you must have experience of managing multiple teams in a busy, fast moving office environment
  • Good experience of quotations, quotation orders, sales order process, hire quotations, hire controller requirements
  • Hire industry experience ideally or good experience of plant machinery, plant equipment and quotations, sales orders management
  • Highly organised, excellent attention to detail and a flexible, positive can do attitude
  • Good team management, support, team motivational skills and experiences
  • Excellent IT, communication, negotiation and interaction skills- ability to communicate, motivate, manage and support team.

Key responsibilities of this hire Office Manager include;

  • Daily administration and operational duties, supporting the hire team and making sure that all customer plant hire enquiries are serviced on time and to customer specifications
  • Dealing with customer hire invoice queries, hire disputes, technical questions, negotiations and delivering excellent customer service and exceeding expectations
  • Coordinating plant, logistics, operators, transport schedules and corresponding documentation, contracts and supporting sales team with customer enquiries
  • Managing and motivating hire office team - coaching, training and developing the hire team further
  • Managing and maintaining the hire system, ensuring compliance, accurate contracts and quotations are followed through in a timely manner
