Position: History Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Step Teachers are working with an Ofsted-rated “Good” school located in the heart of Ilford to source a History Teacher. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated History Teacher for a maternity cover position spanning Key Stages 3 to 5. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of history, from ancient civilizations to modern-day events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality history lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Creating engaging and interactive learning experiences that stimulate critical thinking and historical inquiry.
- Differentiating instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in History, with the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm for history in young learners.
