Job Title: History Teacher

The Role: As a History Teacher, you will have the opportunity to lead students on a journey through time, exploring key events, figures, and movements that have shaped the course of human history. From ancient civilisations to modern conflicts, you will deliver dynamic lessons that captivate students' imaginations and encourage them to think critically about the past and its relevance to the present. Whether it's analysing primary sources, debating historical controversies, or conducting research projects, you will inspire students to develop a deeper appreciation for the complexities of the human experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cover a range of historical topics and themes.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and express their ideas.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their academic progress and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities that integrate historical concepts.
- Stay informed about current events and historiographical debates to enhance teaching practice and curriculum development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Relevant degree in History or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
