GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Homelessness and Prevention Officer to our public sector client based in Rugby. The Homelessness and Prevention Officer will work with clients to prevent Homelessness and where this is not possible to support clients into alternative accommodation within the private rented sector or social housing as appropriate.

Main Duties of the Homelessness and Prevention Officer:

• Conduct housing need interviews
• Assess homeless applications and manage the housing waiting list
• Coordinate temporary accommodation and liaise with support providers
• Facilitate alternative accommodation in the Private Rented Sector
• Collaborate with external agencies for client support
• Work with partners to resolve housing issues and prevent homelessness

Role Requirements:

• Solid understanding of homelessness legislation
• Previous experience in decision-making for homelessness applications
