You will work with the editorial style teams to create content that aligns with the wider business strategies for both Country Living and House Beautiful. This role will pitch, create, write, edit and help style homes and gardens content for both print and digital use, ensuring all content is multifunctional, multichannel and hits key brand KPIs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pitch and create best-in-class blended content that drives reach and engagement of our target audiences across both digital and print, balancing editorial excellence and brand priorities.
  • Act as the bridge between editorial print and digital teams to ensure that we create a streamlined, cost-effective blended content approach that is multifunctional, efficient and works towards brand vision.
  • Write and produce homes content for CL and HB, ensuring consistent tone. This includes daily news; features and series; SEO updates; newsletter inclusions; product launches
  • Write, edit and collate homes content for CL and HB print
  • Attend shoots as and when required to capture and edit content for all channels; interview when necessary
  • Assist with styling for editorial and commercial shoots on an ad hoc basis
  • Produce and edit video and social content as required
  • Forecast homes trends that can support brand growth and audience development. When required, create trend reports for both internal and external meetings
  • Work closely with social media team to optimise all opportunities
  • Work with key stakeholders in Hearst Homes hub ensuring print, digital, marketplace, event, licensing content is collaborative and multichannel
  • Use analytics tools and data to adjust, mould and accelerate CL and HB’s strategy

ABOUT YOU

Essential:

  • A proven understanding and experience of writing homes content and a passion for what’s trending in those areas.
  • A proven track record of working on digital brands at a writer level. The ability to multi-task, remaining calm and professional under pressure.
  • A proven track record of excellent idea generation, pitching and writing.
  • An excellent team player with proven collaboration skills.
  • An aligned interest with Country Living and House Beautiful content, including style and interiors, homes, sustainability, and artisans.

Desired:

  • A strong eye for data and content strategy, comfortable using Google Analytics and other insight tools to inform content.
  • A solid knowledge of SEO, E-commerce and social media.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and social media content creation tools
  • A good eye for visuals and aptitude for styling
  • Video editing skills
