Head Hotel Receptionist - Scotland Live-out
Overview:
We are searching for an adept and meticulous individual to assume the role of Head Hotel Receptionist. As the primary point of contact for our esteemed guests, the Head Receptionist holds a pivotal position in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless operations at our prestigious hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Relations
- Welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are resolved promptly. Ensure the Receptionist team maintain the same high standards
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
- Manage incoming calls, emails and inquiries efficiently, accurately routing them, assisting with bookings or taking messages as necessary
- Offer comprehensive information to guests and callers, both in person, via telephone and online.
- Operations
- Execute various administrative tasks
- Coordinate and maintain staff rotas with precision
- Support financial tasks, leveraging software as required
- Undertake further administrative duties as directed by management
- Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, bookings and packages.
- Uphold the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
- Assist in the hotel's day-to-day operations, front desk management, report any housekeeping, and maintenance issues through HOP pms system.
- Management Leadership:
- Supervise and motivate staff to deliver excellent service and achieve performance targets.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge in areas such as guest service, safety protocols, and product knowledge.
- Foster a positive work environment conducive to teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
- Financial Management:
- Assist in budget planning and cost control measures to optimise profitability.
- Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities for revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and inhouse promotional activities.
- Ensure compliance, policies and procedures, including reporting.
Qualifications:
- Certification in administration
- Previous experience as a Hotel receptionist or in a similar capacity is preferred
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Exceptional organisational abilities, adept at juggling multiple tasks and prioritising effectively
- Superlative written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated expertise in professional telephone etiquette
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry and administrative functions
