Housing Development and Partnerships Manager
£56,582 - £59,165 per annum
Are you up for a challenge in an exciting and rewarding new role with scope to make a real difference? We are looking for a commercially focused, experienced Development Manager to help us deliver new homes and major investment opportunities in the heart of the midlands.
We are an ambitious organisation with a broad development programme, a wholly owned development company and a joint venture with a national housebuilder. You will play a pivotal role in driving forward our programme and assist with identifying new opportunities.
Leading the work of the Housing Development Team you will manage a portfolio of projects including joint venture and regeneration Housing Development schemes from inception to practical completion.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing and delivering projects and overseeing procurement and delivery of new/next phases of regeneration projects.
- Ensuring schemes are delivered on time, to budget and are compliant. Identifying and managing opportunity and risk.
- Accurately reporting on progress, ensuring schemes are ready for delivery within targets.
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders including contractors and consultants and engaging with residents and local communities.
- Maintaining robust document management systems whilst continuously reviewing ways to identify more efficient/commercial ways of working.
- Demonstrable significant Senior Management experience in the Development and Regeneration areas gained within a sizeable housing or similar organisation.
- Proven track record of acquiring land, property and progressing new business opportunities into contract.
- Demonstrable and comprehensive understanding of the development process across a range of building and tenure types.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of the financial elements of development projects and their impact on scheme viability and valuations.
You will manage a small team including a Housing Development Manager, Senior Housing Development Officer and three Housing Development Officers.
The intention is for the postholder to work predominantly from home and also attending sites. However, office and hybrid working is also available. Whilst home working is offered for this role, it is a requirement that the successful candidate be available to attend meetings at our offices and attend sites and site meetings within Warwick District when required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate.
