This is a great opportunity for a Specialist Arrears Coordinator (that’s Housing Management Coordinator to us internally) to join our team here at Basingstoke Social Inclusion Pathway. As our Income and arrears expert, you’ll focus on arrears management to ensure our customers rent is paid. Working with the Housing Management service, you’ll support our customers to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!
Typical day as a Specialist Arrears Coordinator
- Help our customers with managing there housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
- Working with the team to support customers on their repayment plans.
- Supporting customers with their rent payment methods
- Generating and issuing letters related to the customer’s account.

You bring
- Experience in managing rent accounts.
- Knowledge of working within income management and the welfare benefits system
- Experience supporting vulnerable customers from different walks of life.
- A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
- Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners
Our team
You’ll join our manager Sherene, and our Basingstoke Social Inclusion Pathway team, who are super passionate about what we do! Sherene is a true example of how we ‘grow our own’, as she’s on her third career with us having been a Housing Management Coordinator as well as a Housing Manager before stepping into her current Manager role. When not at work she’s chasing after her two wild spaniels!
Job details
- Hybrid Working from home with one day based at our service in Basingstoke.
- Able to use technology for example for making benefit claims and managing the accounts.
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
