We are currently recruiting for a HR Adviser to join the Human Resources team. The purpose of this role is to work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBP’s) in all operational areas of HR, delivering value-adding services and initiatives to the business including, on-boarding, provision of employee relations advice, employee engagement, performance management and off boarding.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
Support the Head of HR and HRBP’s to implement initiatives to drive a high-performance culture, ensuring employees are motivated and supported.
Provide best practice advice and support to managers and employees in all areas of operational HR, in line with company policies, terms and conditions of employment and legislation.
Responsible for overseeing Employee Relations casework by attending, taking minutes and advising, where necessary, at formal hearings and appeals, supporting and guiding managers.
Complete Job grading activities ensuring consistent application of grading principles are applied.
Create and maintain effective stakeholder relationships by providing accurate, appropriate advice highlighting risks involved with any course of action.
Responsible for completing Occupational Health referrals and offer follow up advice and ongoing support where necessary for the employee, manager and Health and Safety team.
Support the HRBP’s where necessary by advising on annual processes including performance and talent management, bonus and salary review processes and engagement initiatives.
Review and update policies and procedures.
Support administrative and HR processing tasks as and when required
Undertake and support ad hoc projects
We are looking for:
CIPD level 5 qualification preferred
Previous experience in a generalist HR role
Experience of dealing with ER casework
Experience of advising and supporting line managers and employees
Up to date and extensive knowledge of employment law and best practice
Excellent interpersonal and professional skills including experience of resolving conflict
Self-motivated and shows initiative and proactivity.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a high workload with multiple demands and tight deadlines, monitor service levels and acts as required
Maintains functional knowledge of the Company’s business areas
Maintains employee confidentiality throughout appropriate business processes
Resilient and positive attitude, able to adapt to change.
