We are currently recruiting for an experience HR Advisor to join our healthcare clients organisation located in Kingston. You will carry out a vital role within the HR Advisory Team to provide a comprehensive and high quality HR advisory service to managers and staff within designated clinical divisions and directorates. You will support the delivery of workforce objectives and will manage your own employee relations casework. Therefore, experience of handling/managing employee relations cases to include Grievance, Disciplinary, etc is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- To provide professional advice and support to managers on matters relating to disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance management and liaise with Trade Union Representatives as necessary.
- To provide timely, consistent, accurate and appropriate advice and support for managers in carrying out investigations and to advise at disciplinary/grievance panel hearings.
- To provide advice, guidance and support to managers on all terms and conditions including Agenda for Change, employment law, contract queries, performance issues, absence management.- and the application of all HR policies in line with best practice.
- Provide support to managers in relation to consultations and organisational change.
- Analyse exit questionnaires as required to investigate reasons for leaving and feedback any issues of concern to the appropriate manager.
- Advise on job descriptions and associated grading/banding issues and participate in job evaluation panels.
- Analyse workforce information reports for designated divisions/directorates, including fixed term contract and professional registration expiries, visa expiry, sickness absence data. Provide analysis and commentary to managers and/or take action where required.
- Assist with the design and delivery of training to line managers on the application of HR policies and procedures and HR hot topics.
- To update ESR in relation to professional registrations e.g. NMC, HCPC, and ensure managers are aware of any employee who does not have up to date registration.
- To action in a timely manner all change forms), including maternity, paternity and adoption leave and e-mail to the Payroll Department for processing.
- To update ESR in a timely manner in relation to all employee relations cases to enable accurate reports to be run.
- To be aware of current recruitment activity and update the HR Advisory Manager, HRBP and/or wider HR Operations Team as required.
- To liaise with external organisations such as Home Office, Professional Bodies, and internal departments including payroll, finance, Occupational Health etc., as appropriate.
- To support NHSLA and CQC requirements e.g. undertaking regular audits, providing evidence etc.
- Ensure all computerised personal records are maintained in a satisfactory manner, i.e. processed fairly and lawfully, are up-to-date, accurate secure, and appropriate controls are put in place in order to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Produce information such as certificates of employment and basic employment reference details upon request.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Associate CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Degree or equivalent level of knowledge
- Sufficient recent experience of working in a Human Resources or employee relations setting
- Generalist HR experience which involves advising managers on all HR issues
- Experience of handling employee relations issues e.g. Grievance, Disciplinary etc.
- Experience of using HR databases to record and access information
- Experience of working within an HR function in the NHS/Healthcare/Public Sector (NHS preferred)
- Experience of using ESR
- Understanding of, and ability to maintain, confidentiality at all times
- Flexible with an ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff / management / unions
- Ability to prioritise and organise a large volume of work with frequently changing priorities and work systematically towards tight deadlines
- Up to date knowledge of employment law
