Frazer Jones is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading engineering business to help them recruit an HR Advisor on an 18-month contract. This role is to cover maternity leave and will join a collaborative and forward-thinking HR team.
As the HR Advisor you will report into the HR Manager and provide all generalist support across the business. You will be the first point of contact for all HR advice, guidance and enquires as well as ensuring policy and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment legislation. This role is hands on and operational with the opportunity to support on strategic HR and projects.
It's a pivotal position within the HR team, providing a great end to end HR experience.
Duties will include:
- First point of contact for all HR advice and guidance
- Provide advice and guidance on a range of Employee relation case work to include, disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance.
- Support with investigations and hearings, preparing all statements in line with company policy.
- Support change management process to include consultation, re-structure, and redundancies.
- Coach and guide managers through the full employment life cycle to maximise performance.
- Manage onboarding and new joiner process to include inductions.
- Lead on various company programme's like Well Being, Mental Health, Engagement & Culture.
- Support on cyclical HR activities i.e., pay reviews.
- Updating of HR policy and procedures in line with current legislation and UK employment law
- HR reporting and HR data analysis for Senior leadership teams.
What you will need:
- A strong understanding of generalist HR practice is essential as well as up to date employment law
- Proven experience within an advisory role
- Good understanding of core HR disciplines, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management, Talent & Reward.
- CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of developing HR policies and processes.
- Proven ability within Employee Relations to include, absence management, performance, grievance and disciplinary.
- Ability to work with and manipulate HR data providing various reports, highlighting trends and insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to positively influence across the business.
- Strong IT skills to include Excel, Pivot Tables and Mail Merge
- Confident to challenge the "norm" with an inquisitive mind.
