An opportunity has become available to join an expanding organisation at an exciting time in their growth plans. Seeking a permanent full time HR Advisor, my client will also consider candidates seeking a temporary contract until the permanent role is offered. This also means that the role can be available on a temp-perm basis for the right candidate.
As HR Advisor you will join their busy office with the view of supporting established teams and staff members on a national basis. Ideally the candidate will be available to start the position immediately.
The HR Advisor’s main purpose is to provide a professional, comprehensive, and timely support to managers across all businesses. The role will mainly provide support for all Employee Relations matters with an emphasis on early resolution of cases including disputes and grievances and taking a restorative approach wherever possible.
The other elements of the role will be to support the Group Head of People in establishing key people principles within the business to ensure consistency across locations and carry out related projects to support this.
The right candidate will be an experienced HR specialist and can converse with managers at all levels.
The role will require travel to operational sites across the UK and Jersey.
Role Responsibilities
- Advise and support managers in all HR related activity including but not limited to, disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence.
- Be actively involved in investigations, in conjunction with managers, including the preparation of all documentation for hearings.
- Assist the business in all aspects of change management to ensure that change, where possible, is planned, managed and implemented in accordance with policies whilst enabling them to meet their corporate objectives.
- Provide training for core People Processes
- Take an active role in carrying out project work as requested by the Group Head of People
- Review Employment Policies and Procedures ensuring they are in line with best practice and relevant employment legislation.
- Manage a caseload as agreed prioritising as appropriate ensuring cases are managed to quality standards and timescales.
- Provide regular reports on HR and other key people KPIs to the Group Head of People.
- Support in the analysis of people data to identify trends and propose remedial action to correct and improve key people KPIs. Enhance employee and management understanding and adherence to policies.

Qualifications & experience required
- At least 2 years’ experience within HR generalist role, preferably an organization that operates across multiple sites.
- CIPD qualified Min Level 5 or working towards 7 is desirable.
- Full driving licence due to travel requirements.
