Ashley Kate are pleased to be partnering exclusively with a well respected manufacturing business in Sutton In Ashfield on a HR Advisor role. Reporting to the Group Head of HR you will be joining a well established HR team and play a key part in the commercial and cultural journey the business are on. Ideally Based on site, this role is paying 30k - 35k dependant on experience. Hours of work Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 17:00pm and Friday 9:00am - 15:00pm. You must be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent) and once settled the company is willing to look at CIPD level 7 if this is what the successful candidate is looking at.
It is essential you will be an experienced operational HR Advisor who will support the HR function in providing practical, solution focused advice on general HR and People matter with a strong background in supporting managers with Employee Relations and case work. You will also be responsible for managing Employee well being initiatives. You will be the go to person for managers and so you will need to provide expert advice and support in relation to HR policies and procedures and ensuring they are implemented
Alongside this you will work closely with the Operations Team on performance management and development planning processes, Identifying and monitoring any areas of HR improvement and ensuring improvement in line with HR action plans.
Improvement of HR systems and processes and identifying HR policy development changes needed to ensure excellent HR service and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of HR regulatory requirements, guidance and developments
HR Advisor - About you.
- You must have a proven background in operating in a generalist HR role and be able to provide support and guidance to managers around Employee relations, policies and processes.
- A proven background working in Manufacturing, FMCG, Engineering or a similar fast paced, blue collar environment is key.
- A demonstrable background in working on a high employee relations case load is essential and you must be able to support with complex cases.
- It would be advantageous if you had worked in a unionised environment
- Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law is essential.
- Experience of, and interest in, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy implementation. Experience of using applicant tracking systems and advising managers on recruitment processes.
- Experience of running recruitment campaigns advising managers on best practice and supporting where necessary.
- You must be CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent
