Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our HR Team at our site in Muir of Ord on a 6 month temporary contract.
Your opportunity
To provide advisory support to the HR department including elements of the payroll process, and other support functions as required. Provide specific support for the provision of recruitment and selection services, discipline and grievance cases and advisory services to SGL Managers on company policy, practices and procedures.
Provide administrative support to HR Manager in order to meet departmental objectives effectively.
HR activities – eg. inductions, interviews, disciplinary & grievance hearings.
Provide advice and guidance for all employee relations issues including disciplinary and grievance, long- term sickness absence, retirement and redundancies. Keep Disciplinary Register up to date to provide accurate information for monitoring purposes.Assist the HR Manager as required on recruitment and selection activities, providing Best Practice advice for all managers and setting standards.
Reconcile Mitrefinch TMS system on a daily/weekly/monthly basis in order to ensure accurate Time & Attendance data is available for export to the payroll system. This includes coordinating with all other departments to ensure that the relevant electronic systems and paperwork are completed and maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
HR related payroll processing. Specifically, should be able to prepare, review the payroll in accordance with ICS procedures, including overtime, bonus, sick/maternity pay, shift allowance, deductions, etc in order to hand over to Finance for final process. Maintain relevant HR Information Systems on an ongoing basis, and in line with any relevant ICS control procedures.
Co-ordinate occupational health screening activities as required. Liaise with the relevant managers regarding these issues as required.
Contribute to monthly HR measurement statistics as required, including sickness absence reports, overtime analysis, training hours, headcount and other HR KPI’s as required.
Ensure that all staff notices, current vacancies and other HR announcements are clearly displayed on the notice-boards as appropriate.
Provide support of the recruitment process including producing contractual paperwork.
Provide support of Training & Development Administration if required.
Assist the annual department reviews of Company Policies.
Administrative support for Travel Arrangements.
Involvement in creating and maintaining user guides / process documentation for key tasks within the HR
Your profile
Certificate in Human Resource Practice or working towards it preferred
Payroll experience
Fully IT literate in the Microsoft Office suite
Good working knowledge of general administrative procedures
Good planning and administration skills
Integrity and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Attention to detail essential
Committed to raising standards and delivering results
Confidence to communicate effectively in verbal and written formal to all levels
Ability to work as an individual and in a team environment
Ability to work on own initiative and with limited supervision.
