Reed HR are currently recruiting for a HR Assistant to join our client on a full time, permanent basis.
Role purpose:
Reporting to the Senior HR Officer. You will play a vital role in supporting the HR function, to ensure the department runs efficiently by carrying out a range of generalist HR administrative duties and assisting with the day-to-day support of the employee life cycle.

This role is based on site
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break
Annual leave: 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
HR Assistant responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment for the site, up to middle management, ensuring recruitment process and authorisation has been adhered to, coordinating recruitment agencies, and also direct recruitment through online platforms and working closely with site HR Officers to fulfil the requirements
- Issue all Offer letters, Contracts, and new starter packs to all prospective employees, working with the Internal Communications manager to ensure all new starters are welcomed across the business
- Setting up of all new starters on HRIS, and other internal systems, creating personnel files, site fobs and maintaining correct access levels
- Manage the administration side of the employee lifecycle including probations, job changes, internal movements and terminations/resignations, updating the HRIS and ensuring the leaver process is fully adhered to
- Attendance in Tier 3 meetings in the absence of the site HR officer
- Recording of all absence from the absence line, informing line managers of absences, updating the HRIS system and escalating any absences of concern to the HR team
- Administration of the time and attendance on HRIS and escalating issues to managers
- Monitor the annual leave process ensuring compliance with usage, and all HRIS records are up to date
- When required, Support managers with investigations, collating all statements and evidence and completing Investigation case management forms
- Complete administrative activities to ensure smooth and accurate running of payroll
- Monitor 60 hour working compliance and investigate non-conformance, escalating when required
- Administer the Occupational Health clinics including referrals and annual health checks, and following up with reports
- Supporting with the general operation of the site by monitoring stationary and PPE levels and requesting orders when required
- Maintaining accurate records of staff lockers and carrying out weekly locker searches
- Monitor the HR inbox and respond to any queries including reference requests
