?? Opportunity: HR Associate
?? Salary/Rate: £18 - £ 22 per hr (inside IR35)
?? Location: Aldermaston, Reading
?? Contract Duration: 12 months

We are currently looking for a HR Associate for our government client. This HR Associate role is hybrid, based between 2-3 days per week on site in Aldermaston Reading, and the remainder of the week working remotely.

The contract for the HR Associate position is initially for 12 months with potential to extend, offering an hourly rate within the range of £ 18 to £ 22.60, operating inside IR35.

Security Clearance: Eligible for Security Check (SC Clearance)

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Packages (Excel specifically)
  • Previous experience using computerised systems for data retrieval and data entry
  • Previous experience within HR
  • Previous experience working with RTW checks / onboarding / security vetting checks previously (desirable)
  • Strong communication/Stakeholder skills at all levels
  • Deliver high quality, timely and accurate transactional HR services within SLA requirements
  • Deliver efficient and effective HR support to customers, providing first point of contact services through HRIS, telephone, email and walk-ins.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
  • Maintain workload and case trackers to enable the reporting of service performance and identification of improvements.
  • Ensure the HR Information System is accurately updated and transactions are processed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is accurate and in accordance with approved templates.
  • Escalate issues in accordance with the relevant escalation process in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external colleagues and customers, ensuring process hand-offs are properly executed.
  • Support ad hoc project work, Company and HR initiatives, providing administrative services and, on occasion, face to face support.
  • Assist in the testing and maintenance of the HRIS.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence and peak workload demands.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest changes to enhance services, systems or address issues and actively participate in process improvement activity.
  • Ensure HR related documentation (hard copy and electronic) is appropriately handled, managed and retained in compliance with data privacy regulations, including the archiving process; and ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is accurate, using approved templates.
  • Ensure local work instructions are followed to maintain process compliance and quality.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and that the appropriate Company classifications are applied.
  • Maintain understanding of up to date employment regulations, applicable laws and Company policy.
