HR Consultant (working on a perm employed basis full time) Salary: £42,000 plus benefits Location: Home based working normal standard office hours (some travel to clients expected) This role offers all of the flexibility and variety that so many HR Professionals seek from an HR consultancy based role, but without any of the uncertainty of regular consistent and interesting work, in this role you would be working on the basis of being full time employed by a highly forward thinking long established successful HR consultancy working for their SME clients. This role involves working standard hours on a full time basis from home, working as part of close and long established highly experienced UK wide HR consultancy team supporting their clients with all their HR needs. THE ROLE: Working as a full time employee on a working from home basis. The role involves providing full HR and employment law advice and support to their SME clients on the telephone, by email and when required in person. Working as part of a long established and highly experienced UK wide team of HR consultants where there is constant support, discussion, and interaction. The skills/experience required to do the role:- Someone who has a good HR grounding and is a true confident HR generalist. Excellent at building credible relationships and installing trust with all clients Good coaching and listening skills - can offer solutions to problems and is able to explain how to do this at all levels Ideally someone with a strong employment law background/ some experience of complex employment relation issues - (experience of limiting and avoiding any potential litigations) Leading through redundancy Leading and advising on TUPE consultations and strategy meetings. Experience of drafting outcome letters and settlement agreements or COT3 (Tribunal paperwork) Building long lasting and credible relationships with trust Prioritise workloads with different clients Making decisions based on risk and decisions from previous experience and expertise Experience of policy and contract drafting Good at explaining, coaching and managing people/situations Good working with different types of clients, can adapt style etc A strong team player and work well in a UK wide HR team supporting where necessary The key skills required to do this role are: A strong Employment Law and/or HR background and experience of complex employment relations issues and the experience to limit and avoid any potential litigation Experience of hearing disciplinaries, grievances, carrying out investigations, managing exit negotiations, conducting redundancy or TUPE consultations and conducting strategy meetings Excellent written skills and experience of drafting outcome letters and settlement agreements or COT3s Tupe (lead on Tupe In and Out) Drafting documentation in support of any advice given Redundancy Collective consultation Settlement agreements Performance management Sickness and absence management Disciplinary and grievance procedures Drafting contracts of employment and contractual agreements Drafting company handbooks and policies/procedures Union negotiation Pre-tribunal preparation, and tribunal preparationary works Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully build and maintain longstanding, effective and trusting client relationships. A flexible and adaptable approach to varying workloads. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and respond promptly to requests using own initiative. Experience of working in environments where decisions are made based on risk evaluation and professional judgement. Experience in policy and contract drafting. A genuine interest in Employment Law and enthusiasm to deliver a first-class service to an SME client base.
