Position: HR Director

Location: Amsterdam

Salary: €90,000 - €92,000.

A leading operational business in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Director to join their team.
This is a highly confidential and private opportunity with a well-established company known for its excellent working environment and commitment to employee wellbeing.

Job Overview:

The HR Director will be responsible for leading and managing the HR function across two sites.
This role requires a proactive leader who can engage effectively with the operations team and drive the people agenda.
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and work within a matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 8 HR professionals, including specialists in payroll, training and engagement, resourcing, and HR contracts.
• Manage and oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training, and employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
• Act as the main point of contact for union and workers council matters.
• Drive employee engagement and maintain strong communication with the operations team.
• Develop and implement HR strategies and plans to support the business objectives.
• Be visible and approachable, fostering a positive work environment.
• Conduct visa checks and manage all aspects of HR contracts.
• Handle all HR reporting and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in an HR leadership role, preferably within an operational business environment.
• Strong understanding of labor legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to connect with and lead a diverse team.
• Proactive and able to develop and implement effective HR strategies.
• Experience managing union and workers council relations.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
