GXO Logistics is looking for a HR Manager, with a focus on Employee Relations, for our Curry’s site in Newark. We are looking for a passionate individual with strong warehouse, manufacturing or transport background, who wants to challenge themselves and really make a difference.
This is predominantly a Monday – Friday role working standard office hours but we do require a level of flexibility - this is logistics after all!.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £48,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Ensure that the HR team provide a consultancy and advisory service to all managers on matters of ER including discipline, grievance, absence management, performance improvement and achievement of contractual KPI’s (reduction of absences, turnover, and employee engagement)
- Develop ER Strategies and facilitate harmonious Employee Relations with the site teams and respective Trade Union representatives, to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation
- Through development and coaching techniques, support HR Advisors and Line Managers to feel confident in making their own decisions on ER cases
- Full involvement in more complex ER cases, Tribunal and ACAS cases
What you need to succeed at GXO:
HRM or Senior HRA experience – having worked at a large site (ideally 500 – 1000+ colleagues)
- Experience in handling complex ER cases on a large scale, including ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunals
- Collaborative working with Trade Unions or Employee Representatives in building proactive Employee Relation strategies
- CIPD Qualified, ideally at Level 7 and an up-to-date knowledge of Employment Law Legislation
