We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our nursery team. As a HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day employee relations, providing HR advisory services, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting various HR functions. Your contributions will help create a healthy, inclusive, and supportive workplace environment for our staff and contribute to our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Oversee day-to-day employee relations, including formal processes, conflict resolutions, and employee support.
- Provide guidance and support to both employees and management in addressing employment - related issues.
- Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures for the company
HR Advisory Services
- Offer HR advisory services to managers, ensuring the application of best practices in staff management.
- Assist in interpreting and implementing employment law, regulations, and company policies.
- Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures for the company
Compliance
- Support the nursery in maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Improving, implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures
- Analysing a company’s day-to-day operations
Payroll and Employee lifecycle
- Assist with payroll activities as required
- Support the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract drafting, performance reviews and exit interviews.
Qualifications
University degree in HR or any other relevant CIPD Level 5.
Requirements
- 4+ years in HR
- Excellent knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and explain employment law.
- Experience of managing employee relations.
- Strong planning and organisation skills.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time 40 hours Monday - Friday in office.
Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
