About the Role:
As a result of our continuing success and growth, we are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our expanding team. The HR Manager will be responsible for all aspects of people management, policy, and developing and delivering the company’s HR systems and processes.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
Recruitment
* Manage the entire recruitment process from job advertisements, agreeing job descriptions, CV selection and pre-interview screening calls, arranging interviews, offer letters and contracts.
* Review and develop the induction and onboarding programme for new staff.
Performance Management
* Provide expert advice and support to Line Managers and staff on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
* Establish a programme of training for Line Managers and provide support to ensure a consistent approach and level of knowledge for all Managers.
* Develop and co-ordinate the performance appraisal process.
* Manage all HR employee documentation (e.g. new starter documentation and contracts; variation to contract letters; etc.)
Policies and Procedures
* Regularly review existing Company policies and Staff Handbook to ensure compliance with UK legislation.
* Propose relevant amendments to existing policies, and suggest the implementation of new policies where applicable.
Other Duties
* General HR administration, including maintenance of the HR system/software and ensure Managers and employees keep data up to date.
* Assist in evaluating training and development requirements.
* Develop a reporting programme on staff attendance for Managers’ visibility.
* Support the monthly payroll process with Finance and Payroll bureau.
* Manage relationship with outsourced HR advice company.

About You:
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organised, efficient and adaptable, with the ability to anticipate needs. You must be CIPD qualified, with strong knowledge of current HR legislations and change management. Experience of working at HR Manager level is desirable, but not essential. This position is a standalone role, however you will report into the Finance Director and work closely with the Finance team. Therefore, you must have the ability to work both on your own initiative and also as part of a team, and you must be able to work well under pressure. Excellent ICT and communication skills are also essential, as well as the ability to create, maintain and enhance effective relationships. Prior experience of working in a manufacturing company is a bonus, but not essential.
Contract type: Permanent, Part-Time (approx. 24 hours per week)
Salary: £21,500 – £25,000 depending on experience (FTE £35,000 – £40,000)
Work location: In Person – Climping, West Sussex
