We're looking for someone with a passion for delivering excellence across the full spectrum of HR-related activities in a highly operational business. The role will work closely with the HR Director, to ensure all HR topics are integrated with the wider business functions. You will be first-line support for a small HR team, whilst also operating across all sectors of the business at all levels, initiating policy and process.
Responsibilities
- Support the HR Director, using key people data to effectively implement people initiatives, working with management, and influencing them on the best course of action on company focuses i.e. retention, absence, and performance
- Provide guidance to the business and the HR team in overseeing all employee relations issues, including grievance and disciplinary cases
- Be first-line support and line management for HRBPs and HR Admin on day-to-day process and any improvements where required
- Partner with other HR functions to ensure all people initiatives are delivered to support in the retention and engagement of the workforce
- Conduct external pay benchmarking regularly to ensure competitiveness in the market
- Work on any HR-related projects, communicate and direct on strategy and implementation
- Champion change initiatives along with the rest of the HR team
- Ensure legal compliance is always met in all HR activities
- Continually be prepared to challenge proposed courses of action where appropriate, suggesting alternative paths to ensure consistent standards are delivered
You will need to demonstrate an attitude that can cope in the environment of a highly nimble and constantly changing organisation, therefore you must be able to create solutions that allow the business to remain proactive and always maintain a positive can-do attitude.
You'll also have:
- CIPD Level 7 qualification, relevant degree or qualified by experience
- Significant experience gained from an operational HR Manager role
- Experience of managing and developing experienced HR team members
- Excellent understanding of UK employment law and HR practices
- Passion and experience in HR Analytics
- Great work ethic and flexible approach to any situation
