HR Manager
Permanent
Full time, 5 days on site in Lincolnshire (travel to Lancashire once a week)
Salary £60k - £65k plus a good car allowance and benefits
Medlock Partners are partnering with a leading manufacturing business who are keen to identify HR Manager to join their UK HR Team. This person will have full accountability for providing HR service and support for the UK business across two sites. With a headcount of 260 across these sites, you will lead a team of 5 in HR to provide HR support across the business.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Manager:
Work as member of UK senior leadership team providing pragmatic and commercial HR solutions to sustain current business and support future growth.
Work as a member of the UK HR Team to build alignment, drive best practice sharing and proactively promote company culture.
Deliver first class HR service and support across all sites, both to site Managers as well as their supervisory teams.
Provide coaching and practical support to managers/supervisors as well as ensuring compliance with policy and process.
Develop and delivers HR solutions to attract, develop and retain a flexible high calibre workforce in a competitive labour market.
Coordinates recruitment and development of entry level and experienced talent in key talent pools.
Create and implement development programmes via apprenticeship and/or graduate trainee programmes to build pipeline in scarce skills – printing, engineering, continuous improvement, sales, and operations.
Ensure team leaders and supervisors are willing and able to conduct selection interviewing, performance discussions, disciplinary meetings, negotiations with employee representatives.
Identify and/or create best practice policies and process around lean daily HR – Absence, Attrition, Overtime, Temps: to control and reduce costs associated with these activities
Support cultural change programme to drive high performing culture around safety, leadership, engagement and talent. Creates action plans annually based on annual employee survey.
Design and implement reward and recognition solutions which align employee pay and incentives with company goals.
Support the development and implementation of the HRIS
Support Social Responsibility programmes via providing work and placements to disadvantaged members of the community, and though other charitable activities.
Work with Site MD and Managers to develop and regularly refresh succession and high potential development plans, and coordinate site training & development activities to support development needs identified. Key requirements of the HR Manager:
Will have manufacturing experience, with an ER / IR background, unionised, Employee Consultation forum background.
Recruitment and retention – technical, key operational; challenging roles and marketplace
Leadership and Development – supporting a change agenda to build and embed management competence within the workplace
Experience of continuous HR process improvement
Graduate/MBA calibre – CIPD preferred but not essential
Must be willing to travel – role will have at least 30% travel to Lancashire
Commercial outlook and experience of working in business where HR is taken seriously and is at the heart of business decision-making
Lean experience and knowledge would be highly advantageous
Experience of working in company undergoing business and HR transformation
Experience of leading HR function/team in manufacturing and/or service business across
