We are looking for a dedicated HR Officer to support the Vice Principal (Operations) in delivering a high-quality, efficient, and effective HR service within an educational setting. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day HR administration and contributing to the overall people management strategy of the Academy.
Day to Day of the role:- Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting adverts, scheduling interviews, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding guidelines.
- Provide first-line HR advice to line managers and support employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Manage staff induction processes and maintain accurate employee records.
- Assist in the coordination of the Academy’s School Workforce Census annual return and manage staff sickness absence records.
- Ensure the Single Central Record and other employee databases are accurate and up to date.
- Support the Vice Principal (Operations) with payroll changes and the staff appraisal process.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and support the Academy’s wider administrative functions as required.
- CIPD Qualification Level 3 or 5 is essential.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent is desirable.
- Experience in administering the HR function within a school/Academy environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and experience with SIMS.
- Excellent organisational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and work independently.
- Knowledge of People Management issues and a commitment to personal career development.
