A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Officer to join a small but expanding HR team.
You will be CIPD qualified and have experience of working within the education sector, trade unions, change management and an employee relations background would be an advantage but not essential.
The successful candidate will work closely with school leaders to support and undertake case management, provide training and give advice and guidance while ensuring that all Trust policies are adhered to ensuring that school leaders are kept updated on current legislation and guidance. Additionally, the HR Officer will work closely with the Senior Leadership in the HR team to work on and implement national initiatives. Key responsibilities will include providing on-site and remote proactive support and appropriate advice and guidance ensuring advice is in line with Trust policy and best practice as well as supporting the HR team and School Business Managers in the use of and maintenance of various management information and recruitment systems.
The HR Officer will also support with the performance management process advising school leaders on pay and conditions of service which include the STPCD and the NJC Local Government Services Agreement.
This role will require some travel to our schools on occasion and there will be some flexibility for homeworking, dependant on the needs of the Trust.
