Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Local Trust as they look to appoint a Head of HR and Office Services to their team. This is a crucial role supporting the organisation as they wrap up delivery operations and plan for the closure of the organisation by February 2027. The position is being offered on a three-year fixed term contract basis.
Local Trust was established in 2012 to deliver Big Local, a National Lottery Community Fund-funded programme which committed £1m each to 150 neighbourhoods across England. The £217m originally provided by The National Lottery Community Fund to support this programme is the largest single-purpose Lottery-funded endowment ever made, and the biggest ever investment by a non-state funder in place-based, resident-led change.
The Head of HR and Office Services will have responsibility for the development and effective implementation of their HR strategy, policies and procedures and oversight of the office management function, governance and systems that support the effective and efficient running of the organisation.
You will also deliver effective management and oversight of support functions, working closely with the senior leadership team and trustees, as well as ensuring employees will receive the required support and assistance to operate effectively, and close the organisation successfully.
The successful candidate will be an experienced HR leader with high level experience of HR strategy and management. You will ideally have experience within a similar context, with experience of handling restructure and redundancy process with compassion and empathy. You will have strong leadership and influencing experience, with the ability to support and advice across a range of stakeholders. Finally you will have good experience of employee retention strategies, training development and governance.
