Job description

We are hiring an HR Operations Manager on a part time basis to join our amazing HR team here at CMC! This role is responsible for managing and delivering an excellent operational HR service to the business. We are looking for someone to manage two HR Co-ordinators and a HR Advisor and will have responsibility for the delivery and oversight of the employee life cycle in conjunction with the wider HR department, as well as ownership of SMCR, Immigration, IR35 and HR policies and procedures. This is a broad role and is a fantastic opportunity for someone to be responsible for hands-on delivery as well as team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an effective, efficient and friendly operational HR service to the business, implementing and ensuring delivery against SLA’s where required
  • Manage the HR Information System (Workday) in conjunction with the Head of HR Systems to continuously improve automation of HR processes and promote an easy to use employee and manager self-service system
  • Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to HR Coordinators and HR Advisor across all relevant HR disciplines
  • Ownership of key activities relating to SMCR, IR35 and Immigrations in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Partner in relation to the Annual Performance Review process
  • Manage third party relationships with benefit providers, assisting with benchmarking and renewals and assist with providing benefit guidance to employees
  • Manage key HR vendors, such as provider of occupational health services and annual flu vaccinations
  • Manage responses to audit requests for HR information
  • Manage the HR Shared inbox and ensure timely execution of requests
  • Co-ordinate internal communications on behalf of the wider HR department as and when required
  • Maintain a close liaison with the Senior HR Business Partners to ensure that the operational HR support for the business areas they support is efficient and effective
  • Support the Head of HR and Senior HR Business Partner with other projects and operational requirements as required
  • Maintain all HR related policies and procedures and develop new policies, procedures, guidelines and ways of working to build a HR Operations toolkit available on the intranet.
  • Support the team in delivery of the end to end employee lifecycle, driving efficiencies and improvements.
  • GDPR champion for the HR department, working closely with the Data Protection Officer to ensure compliance and best practice across processes.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Good understanding of UK employment law is essential;
  • Good understanding of European law is advantageous;
  • Experience within Financial Services / White Collar environment is desirable
  • Some experience / exposure to a business going through growth & the associated change processes is advantageous
  • Experience managing Operational processes
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines (as this is a fast paced organisation)
  • Experience of working with HR Information Systems (desirable) Workday would be very advantageous
  • Experience to broad and varied HR Project work would be valuable
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
