Project Management
Lead on HR projects that will help to deliver the HR strategy or other strategic initiatives, defining project scope, objectives and outcomes. Identify and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct research and where appropriate consult with staff and managers for their input.
Deliver and implement projects within budget and agreed timescales
Communicate project outputs as required to the HR team, management and staff.
Monitor and measure project effectiveness
Data and reporting
Develop good practice for the HR team on reporting data for KPIs, management information and external requirements. Produce reports as required
Support other members of the team in analysing and monitoring data to help identify trends and inform HR decision-making
HR System
Ensure that all the functionality of the HR System is fully utilised by the HR team, management and staff, developing best practice.
Liaise with system providers to resolve any system issues.
Other
Lead on departmental process improvement initiatives, encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team
Oversee staff benefit provision. Liaising with providers, research and review staff benefits and promote to staff
Oversee and develop staff recognition/appreciation initiatives, working with a wider College Team to co-ordinate the annual staff awards.
Support with developing and implementing Health and Wellbeing initiatives
Awards and accreditation submissions
Keep the HR Hub site up to date and support with other employee communications
Explore, develop and implement innovative ways of using technology within HR activity
Wider team support and personal development
Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures in line with employment law, best practice and the College’s strategic intentions.
Respond to queries from staff and managers, forwarding on to other team members as appropriate
Ensure continuous development and improvement of professional knowledge to ensure the College is at the forefront of HR initiatives and good practice through attendance at events, webinars, training, networking and wider reading etc.
Proactively share knowledge, learning and insights with other members of the HR team.
Attend and participate in HR team meetings
Support the wider HR function by sitting on recruitment panels and delivering staff training i.e.induction training
Support wider college events and curriculum teams as required I.e. interview skills practice with students
Any other duties of a similar level of responsibility as required.
