About the Role
As a Casework Support officer within Housing Services and Building Safety, you will provide support to the Operational Director and senior officers for updating case information, drafting responses to correspondence and freedom of information requests. You will liaise with the Corporate support teams and provide proactive support to HSBS by gathering necessary information and producing coordinated responses.
This is a unique and rewarding role where you will undertake a range of complex casework, business and administrative support to assist the Operational Director and the wider team.
About You
You will need to bring to the role your proven organisational skills where you are able to manage a complex and varied workload. You will also have the ability to deal with sensitive matters discreetly.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to give clear and concise advice on process, and ensure deadline are adhered to.
We want you to be able to bring your positive approach and willingness to the role as you may be required to work in other areas as required to provide support.
The role will provide administrative support, including:
- Working with officers of the council to provide timely, accurate and appropriate responses to casework queries from members of the public.
- Maintaining accurate casework files.
- Updating the Senior management team on the progress and outcomes of casework issues.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to the system of dealing with casework
- Providing administrative support to senior management team including organising meetings, taking minutes, preparing briefings and liaising with external stakeholders, and provide support for the Senior EA on occasion.
Reporting directly to the Operational Director of Housing Services and Building Safety. You will work in a Team alongside the Senior EA and the HSBS Programme Manager but you will be required to liaise with officers across the service.
