What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are Government funded, work-based training programmes for recruiting full-time people ages 16+ (there is no upper age limit) and providing them with the opportunity to combine ‘on the job' training with a nationally recognised. The apprenticeships programme, funded through the Welsh Government supports training costs.
This role will be studying the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice.
What will I be doing as an Apprentice?
During your working time onsite, you will work in specific departments to learn, linked with the assessment criteria for you qualification.
Job requirements
Induction Activities
- Work with the HR team to organise training rooms, resources and trainers for the new starter inductions, communicating with everyone involved to ensure a smooth start.
- Book training rooms and coordinate invitations to trainees and trainers for line manager inductions
- Assigns all mandatory learning for new starters on Safran University (360 learning)
Learning & Development (L&D)
- Support the monitoring of the L&D mailbox and dealing with relevant queries
- Administration and coordination of both internal and external training events and programmes, using outlook and L&D systems. Issuing post course material and certificates
- Maintain all program invites, reminders and cohort administration
- Monitor and report on feedback for all L&D activities
- Maintaining L&D files and records
- Monitor mandatory training completion ensuring compliance
- Point of contact and admin of Safran University on-line platform
- Actively participate in UK L&D and Tier 1 Seats community meetings and events
Apprenticeships
- Support Apprenticeship recruitment campaign
- Coordination and booking of Apprentice reviews
- Manage the administration of the rotation programme for Apprentices
Human Resources (HR)
- Support the HR team with administrative tasks
- Engage in the HR team's Health, Safety and Environment Objectives
- Responsible for managing the Purchase Request/Order System for HR and L&D
Job Requirements?
- You will have a keen interest in Human Resources and Learning & Development and be able to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work.
- You will possess excellent problem solving abilities and high attention to detail.
- The role of apprentice will require you to be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- You will be a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent planning and organisational skills and a 'can do' attitude.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own will be key to your success.
- Competent user of MS Office applications, including intermediary level Excel and Word
Successful candidates will have achieved, or expect to achieve at least 5 GCSE's - including Math and English - Grade A-C or 4-9.
