EDS HV Group is a leading authority in the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage windfarms. Mainly operating in the UK and Europe, EDS has been serving renewables for over a decade and impacting every stage of the wind farm lifecycle.
Due to the success and growth of EDS we are looking for HV Technicians with experience of switchgear and transformer maintenance on wind turbines, or LV wind turbine full AT troubleshooting technicians looking to advance their career into HV maintenance & SAP Authorised status within the onshore and offshore wind industry.
- We have upcoming opportunities across several geographical areas in the UK and Europe working in a 2 & 2 rotation.

Our Wind and Renewables HV Technicians will have the following:
- Electrical time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
- In depth technical knowledge (mechanical and/or electrical) of Wind Turbines from the following manufacturers, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, Nordex or GE and can demonstrate a high degree of technical competence within their field of experience.
- Experience in annual maintenance of LV plant and Apparatus, proven experience of working with cross boundary AWP’s.
Previous EMSR Authorisation (66kV Limited Senior Authorisation - SAP) preferred.
Fluency in written and spoken English, ideally with a second language.
Switchgear & transformer maintenance experience on any of the following is advantageous:
- Areva WSA maintenance.
- ABB ZX 1.2 maintenance.
- Ormazabal maintenance.
- Siemens NX Plus maintenance.
- Transformer Oil Sampling maintenance.
- ABB Safe Plus maintenance.
- Siemens FI Transformers.
- Siemens cast resin transformers.
- Pauwels Transformers.
Ideally you will be an existing HV Maintenance Technician or Fully Authorised Technician, with the requirement to become authorised under customers Electrical Mechanical Safety Rules and/or Wind Turbine Safety Rules and management instructions.
