Genomics England partners with the NHS to provide whole genome sequencing diagnostics. We also equip researchers to find the causes of disease and develop new treatments – with patients and participants at the heart of it all.

Job Description
The Identity Access Management (IAM) Architect will play a critical role in ensuring Genomics England establishes and maintains a robust and secure identity and access management framework.
They will focus on managing access to our clinical, research platform, and business systems for users and engineers. The IAM architect will be responsible for the technical target state and roadmap across our identity services, which include Okta, AWS, and Azure AD.
Responsibilities:
Designing IAM architecture with best practices in mind, such as privileged access management, and ensuring alignment with relevant standards.
Providing standard patterns, guidance, and technical standards to support squads in delivering IAM solutions.
Documenting and assuring IAM solutions through established architecture governance processes.
Ensuring IAM solutions consider applications, data, security, and infrastructure domains.
Effectively communicating IAM architecture to different stakeholders, tailoring presentations to various audiences.
Supporting developers in realizing the IAM architecture through mentoring and direct involvement.Skills & Experience:
Proven expertise in Identity Access Management, with a strong focus on Okta, AWS, and Active Directory.
Experience with Identity and Access Management concepts such as authentication, authorization, application security, privacy and consent management, regulatory compliance, multi-factor authentication, federation, and risk management.
Deep knowledge of IAM standards, restful API design, tokens, session management, profiles, SAML, OAuth, OpenID connect.
Knowledge of privileged account access, workflow approval systems/processes, and privileged access management (PAM).
Qualifications
Okta Certifications
AWS Certified Solution Architecture Professional certification
It would be highly desirable to have healthcare experience with NHSE CIS2 and GA4GH passporting and DUO

Genomics England operates a blended working model as we know our people appreciate the flexibility. We expect most people to come into the office 2 times each month as a minimum. However, this will vary according to role and will be agreed with your team leader. For some people this is 1 day a quarter, for others it is several days a week. There is no expectation that staff will return to the office full time unless they want to. The exception would be some of our roles that would require you to be on site full time e.g., lab teams, reception team.
Our teams and squads have, and will continue to, reflect on what works best for them to work together successfully and have the freedom to design working patterns to suit, beyond the minimum. Our office locations are Canary Wharf, Cambridge and Leeds.
