SalaryAn esteemed insurance broker is seeking an experienced IBA Accounts Handler to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in insurance-based accounts who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a new challenge within a respected organisation.
Day to Day of the role:- Cash matching and allocation to ensure accurate financial records.
- Preparing detailed statements for Underwriters, Clients, and Third Party accounts.
- Proactively chasing outstanding premiums and requesting breakdowns for un-reconciled receipts, followed by allocation to entries once received.
- Preparing payment runs for client and underwriters and submitting them for directorial approval.
- Running fortnightly credit control reports to manage and monitor accounts receivable.
- Addressing queries from banks, clients, and brokers promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining accurate and organised files, including bank statements, remittance advices, and correspondence.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering the phone, scanning, and filing, to support the smooth operation of the accounts department.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IBA role is desirable.
- Strong numerical and literacy skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software.
- Knowledge of Brokasure is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
- A responsible attitude and the ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
OFFICE BASED: 9-5
SALARY UPTO £45,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE WITH INSURANCE.
