Ict Technician

Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale D: £23,500 – £23,893 per annum 

Start Date: February 2024

Hethersett Academy is seeking a reliable, dynamic and responsible person to work as an ICT Technician to provide installation, maintenance development and administrative support for the school’s IT resources. 

The main responsibility will be to be the first point of contact for IT Support of incidents, standard requests and initial problem management within the school and should be able to manage expectations when faced with unidentified faults. The Technician should take pride in responding quickly and effectively to all support requirements and take an open approach to help everyone get the best out of the school’s IT Systems. As a technician in a multi-academy trust, liaison with staff in similar roles across the Trust is to be expected. 

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Experience working within an ITIL Aligned Service Desk or support environment utilising a ticketing tool 
• Basic functional knowledge of Windows 10 
• Basic functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (desktop and cloud based) 
• Ability to install and manage computer hardware and peripherals in an education focused environment 
• Basic fault finding skills and the ability to problem solve within a technical environment 

You will be able to establish good relationships with all teaching staff, support staff and pupils, and provide ongoing technical support to resolve problems in a timely and effective manner. You will have knowledge and experience in supporting Windows 10, Office365, Chrome, G-Suite and IOS as well as key business applications.
