The Opportunity
An exciting new opportunity has become available for an IFS Technical Lead. The purpose of this role is to enable EDF Renewables to manage, deliver and support our own solutions across our products used included Enterprise Asset Manage System, IFS. Enabling future process improvements and digital change within our business.
You will manage, identify opportunities, deliver, and support solutions within IFS, in line with our existing delivery of the solution, existing products, future strategy and digital change. Collaborating with the Lead Product Owner, Business Improvement Team, business leads, executive team, and end users to meet the business needs to improve or automate our processes.
Location; Durham, Edinburgh or London. Hybrid working from home/office.

What you’ll be doing.
You’ll execute project and business as usual tasks and create deliverables, including;

- Functional and technical specification documentation
- Design documentation
- Process and operating procedure documentation
- Internal control documentation
- Business requirements
- Gap analysis
- Business case
- Reporting Requirements
- Participates in the technical design of Configuration, Reports, Interface Modifications (CRIM) items, makes sure appropriate designs are used in each CRIM item, and the combination of all CRIM constitutes a robust solution.
- Manage and administer the IFS Application.
- Configure, test, and deploy IFS patches and upgrades.
- Perform Data Migration.
- Create new user profiles, assign access rights, modify existing user accounts, and deactivate any non-users.
- Management of ticketing system to diagnose and resolve system issues.
- Report Design in IFS Lobbies, Business Reporter, Quick Reports, Power BI (Business Intelligence)
- Appropriately transfer knowledge and train agreed users to enable them to maintain the implemented software solution.
- Share knowledge and experience by supporting, mentoring, and empowering business users to build their own solutions and other IT staff to become familiar with the benefits of IFS.

What do you need to be great at this role?
You’ll hold a minimum of two years of IFS implementation experience as a consultant or on a client team is required.
- Technical experience in customizing/implementing a major ERP/FSM or similar enterprise system.
- It would be advantageous to have experience, exposure and understanding of IFS Cloud and Build place.
- Familiarity with system admin functions such as security and user profile setup and configuration management in an ERP.
- Aware of database administration and system troubleshooting/optimization-related activities
- Understanding of Agile development techniques and other project delivery methodologies.
- Experience of using DevOps tools, work processes and practices.
- Good understanding of how processes and data deliver business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills along with a service mindset.
- Strong team player and ability to work with global teams.
Technical Skills;
- Database experience such as SQL Query Tool, PL/SQL Developer (or similar), SQL Server Management Studio
- Understanding of SAAS (software as a service) Solutions
- Understanding of Power BI
- Understanding of BOOMI and API (Application Programming Interface) driven integration
