Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.Job description:The RoleThe Impact Funding Manager is an opportunity to play a critical role in supporting researchers to enhance the impact of their research findings and expertise through the provision of managed funds that helps to develop new and existing relationships with businesses and accelerate the development and uptake of research findings. The role contributes to both University and Faculty strategies for the delivery of knowledge exchange activities with the overall aim of developing and generating new impact opportunities.You will be responsible for the success and management of funds including the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) and Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF). You will be part of the Enterprise Services that supports researchers with the commercialisation and translation of research and work closely with the Faculty of Science and Engineering, reporting to the Head of Enterprise Services, with additional reporting to the Dean of Research of the Faculty. We are seeking to appoint a highly committed, self-motivated and organised individual who will demonstrate an ability to work pro-actively with a broad range of colleagues and a portfolio of external stakeholders. Previous experience of working in research environments and a track record of leading projects is essential. Applicants should be educated to degree-level, with relevant project management experience and sound financial management and reporting skills. The position is available on a full time, fixed term contract basis until 31st January 2028.
