Our client, a large government customer, are seeking an In-Service Engineer to join their team. The role is mostly remote based with at least 1 day/week working onsite in Bristol and monthly travel to other sites. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.
Requirements are scheduled to run until December 2024 and offer a rate up to £530/day.
IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Main Responsibilities
- Engineering support to the In-Service Lead Engineer, support the BAU In-Service drumbeat of meetings and reporting, and responding to tasks as they arise. e.g. completing safety actions, supporting system security (re)accreditation, raising technical concessions, fault investigations, etc.
- Act as the Lead Engineer for the project when required, supporting its BAU drumbeat of meetings and reporting.
- Support and develop the project, by providing Engineering input and updating or developing any Engineering artefacts required (including the Project Engineering Management Plan).
- Update the Safety & Environmental management Plan (SEMP).
- Co-ordinate the development of the Safety and Environmental Case Report (SECR) through the Safety Contractor.
- Support the integration of In-Service equipment to a new platform, by acting as the single person of contact with another delivery team, co-ordinating responses to RFIs and attendance at project meetings, and provision of documents and advice to the platform team as required.

- Expectation of 1 day per week working in the Office in Bristol, on average, as part of planned team / project collaboration days.
- Expectation of 1 day per month visiting other UK sites.
