The Role
Our Maritime team are looking to welcome an Incident Process Improvement Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to take responsibility for quality assurance, oversight, administration, and functionality of our incident reporting system SeaEvent.
SeaEvent is the CUK designated system of record to document, track and control all technical, marine safety, security, environmental incident reports and guest and crew accidents, to ensure compliance with both Company reporting requirements and International & US HESS regulations
You Will
- Proactively review Ship event report accuracy and event quality assurance through data validation and liaison with Ship and Shore accountable owners, ensuring any follow up actions are captured in event reports and they effectively close out and implement actions
- Control and monitor the access for shipboard and shoreside users determining and assigning appropriate access levels and permissions depending on the role and needs of the business and provide training and on-going support to shipboard and shoreside end users
- Perform User Acceptance Test (UAT) and General Functionality testing prior to the implementation of new releases, reporting on system issues and defects, as necessary.
- Monitors, develops and recommends new features and system enhancements.
- Manages vendor contacts and relationships, representing the needs and interests of CUK as an active member of the SeaEvent Governance Team.
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time, 12-month fixed term contract basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, a minimum of 3 days per week.
About You
Fresh ideas and different perspectives are what excite us most and help us to succeed. Alongside bringing these to the role, you’ll also need:
- A Maritime background, ideally in Deck or Technical is preferred
- Strong technical experience using either a database or incident management system, where you have been involved with advanced reporting, including creation, system Governance and/or system or upgrade implementation
- Confident and engaging communication skills, inspiring engagement and understanding from a range of levels
- Elevated level of analytical skills and attention to detail
- Structured and methodical approach to prioritisation with an ability to hold self and others to account for critical deadlines
