Citizens Advice Leicestershire is an independent and local not for profit organisation, providing accessible and high quality information, advice and education to anyone who needs it. Last year we supported 31,715 people across Leicester and Leicestershire, securing circa £14,109,952 in maximised income for our citizens. We take a partnership approach to deliver our services, working with local government, National Citizens Advice and local VCSE organisations.
About the role:
This will be a key role in communicating our purpose and value as an organisation, garnering support and income through effective storytelling and grant applications. This role will contribute to developing and delivering a creative and sustainable fundraising and marketing strategy aligned with our purpose. Our Income and Communications officer will work closely with our senior leadership team and the research and campaigns team. Typical duties will include extracting and analysing data from our database and funding reports that will form successful grant applications and generate engaging communications.
The main purpose of the role is:
- Nurture relationships with existing and prospective partners and individuals through compelling and effective communications.
- To support the Head of Income and Partnerships to develop and deliver a creative and sustainable fundraising strategy aligned with our purpose
- Identify opportunities and make applications for grant and partnership income
- An emphasis on unrestricted income generation opportunities
About You:
Ideally we are looking for a candidate who has some experience in writing engaging content across a variety of channels and contributing to successful funding applications.
