Large Housing Association requires an experienced Income Recovery Officer to focus on income arrears. The role will require confident communication with tenants/residents to encourage debt payments and reduce their arrears.
Responsibilities:
Dealing with rent arrears and contact customers/tenants to discuss late payments and arrears.
Provide assistance and guidance regarding debt and late payments.
Discuss payments options with tenants with the aim of taking immediate payment where possible but also arrange payment plans.
Offer a friendly attitude and helpful advice where possible to maintain relationship with residents.
Support residents to prioritise their rent payments and help them sustain a successful tenancy.
Take payments over the phone and set up payment plans where possible.
Skills and experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in a customer service or call centre environment
Experience in income recovery or credit control
Confident communicator with a positive and customer focussed attitude
Experience within Housing would be beneficial but not vital income officer/ credit controller candidates
