About The Role

Following recent internal changes a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Income Officer to join our award winning Team.

The role is on full-time basis working 37 hours per week. The role will be a mix of home and office working. However, there will be a requirement to attend meetings at our head office in Birkenhead and potentially other locations as deemed necessary to fulfil your role and complete training.

The role

The purpose of the role is to maximise rent collection from a portfolio of approximately 900 current rent accounts. This is a specialist role that requires a detailed knowledge of Universal Credit and Housing Benefit regulations in order to actively assist tenants secure their full entitlement to benefits available to help customers meet their rent liability and so avoid accruing rent arrears.

In addition, it is essential that candidates have experience in preparing cases for court following the Civil Procedure Rules as well as attending Rent Possession Hearings. Candidates should demonstrate this in their application.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and be motivated by challenging individual targets.

Good verbal and written communication skills are a must in this role as is a proficiency in using ICT packages.

There may be occasions when home visits are required, therefore, candidates must be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle.
