SalaryWe are looking to recruit a Independent Chair in the Safeguarding & Reviewing Team within Hackney. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:
- Hackney's Children and Families Service is looking for an Independent Chair to undertake a busy role within the Safeguarding and Reviewing Service. This role provides an opportunity to further shape the quality assurance and practice across child protection and looked after children's services.
- Independent Chairs chair Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Child Reviews, Fostering Annual Reviews and lead safeguarding consultations and initial multi-agency planning meetings for example in relation to child sexual exploitation and harmful sexual behaviour.
- Provide a clear and accurate assessment of a child and his/her family's needs in line with statutory guidance.
- Provide focused and purposeful social work interventions with explicit aims and objectives about desired outcomes within the context of managing risk to children.
To ideal candidate will have:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
