Indirect Category Manager - Services & It Infrastructure

My clients who are a leading multi-national business are currently recruiting for an Indirect Category Manager based at either Stevenage, Bristol OR Bolton (hybrid working) to join on a permanent basis.

Applicants will need to have demonstrable knowledge and experience in managing complex contract negotiations across Indirect Categories, this role will focus on various indirect categories / services with an emphasis on IT Infrastructure.

Please note all applicants must be eligible to gain UK Security Clearance (SC Level).

Role - Indirect Category Manager

Location - Stevenage, Bristol OR Bolton

Type - Permanent position

Salary - Competitive (DOE) + bonus

Key responsibilities of the Indirect Category Manager role and not be limited to:

• Lead the SCM commercial activities on nominated Projects and/or Programmes. Act as Focal point within SCM for the Projects and Programmes
• Manage the early engagement with stakeholders to ensure effective Demand Management, and that the business requirements are understood, managed and fulfilled
• Accountable for the creation and implementation of SCM Sourcing Plans in line with the appropriate SCM Category and Commodity Strategies.
• Develop and implement Negotiation Plans ensuring that appropriate contracting methods and contractual relationships with suppliers are employed for all spend across Projects / Programme, ensuring appropriate and auditable standards, controls and governance frameworks are in place and that all contracts are legally & ethically compliant.
• Responsible for the on-going Contract Management of all contracts within designated categories
• Ensure effective measurement, management and development of supplier performance to ensure contractual and project targets and objectives in terms of cost, delivery, quality and service, are met

Key skills and experience required for Indirect Category Manager role and not limited to:

• Proven experience within a strategic sourcing role, category/commodity management - Indirects/Services is preferred
• Able to demonstrate a significant level of depth and breadth in strategic procurement
• A very goal-orientated individual with strong cultural awareness, and excellent team building capabilities who is capable of making key strategic decisions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
