The Role:
One of UK manufacturing's leading organisations have a superb permanent job opportunity for a Purchasing Manager, senior buyer or procurement specialist to take on this career enhancing role as Purchasing Manager based in the West Midlands.
Reporting to the Financial Director, you will lead a small team of buyers and procurement specialists to manage supplier agreements and contracts, provide specialist purchasing advice to internal stakeholders and play an integral role ensuring the success of essential business procurement processes and services.
Using your experience in a similar role, you will manage supplier contracts, develop internal procurement processes and be instrumental in all supplier agreements supporting this large multifunctional business.
This role is focused on business support and Indirect Purchasing involving (but not limited to), service providers (e.g. mobile phone contracts, pension, healthcare, HR services, suppliers etc), business materials (e.g. stationary, IT, PPE, stores) and environmentally conscious procurement and supply chain agreements.

Candidate Requirements:
With MCIPS qualifications, you will be a proven procurement or purchasing professional with a strong background in contract management, SLA's, supplier system management, business operations procurement and have excellent communications skills.
Notably, we are looking for a very strong manager of both process and people; as this position will require you to manage, lead and develop a small team of purchasing specialists.
Living in the West Midlands or within commutable distance (hybrid one day a week working from home on offer), you will be someone who takes great pride in ensuring an efficient, fit for purpose and forward thinking purchasing function is maintained. You will ideally have experience with relevant software or process systems which support such a role and be an excellent contract manager.
