Indirect Tax Manager

This will be a varied and challenging opportunity, working across a range of Indirect Tax compliance and advisory projects

Description

• Ensuring technical accuracy of worldwide Indirect Tax filings, including those completed by the outsource provider.
• Support and advise on Indirect Tax treatment of transactions.
• Subject matter expert on Indirect Tax matters - resolve queries from finance and business.
• Responsibility for product matrix - ensure all sales are assigned correct VAT codes.
• Identify Indirect Tax changes impacting our business, advising and supporting on all necessary business changes as a consequence.
• Support with regular Indirect Tax training to the team and wider functions.
• Support on all Indirect Tax inquiries from tax authorities.
• Provide insight into Indirect Taxes across the group and drive opportunities to improve cash/value.
• Support on M&A activity from an indirect perspective, including due diligence, structuring, and transitioning new business acquisitions.

Profile

• Technically strong and ATT/CTA qualified, with at least 5 years of Indirect Tax experience.
• Experience of preparing Indirect Tax returns either in practice or another in-house role.
• Exposure to VAT/GST systems outside of the UK would be an advantage.
• Strong excel skills and system knowledge.
• Ability to build a strong rapport with members of the Finance Team and the wider business teams.
• Problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and effectively prioritise to achieve strict deadlines and targets.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
